Brake Kit Installation & Bedding-In Guide

⚠️ Preparation

Safety First: We highly recommend installation by a licensed mechanic.
Key Tools: Floor Jack/Stands, Torque Wrench (Essential), Brake Cleaner, DOT 4 or 5.1 Fluid, Bleeding Kit.

Part 1: Installation Steps (Condensed)

Removal: Lift the vehicle securely. Remove wheels, factory calipers, pads, rotors, and rubber hoses.
Hub Cleaning (Crucial): Wire brush the hub surface thoroughly. The hub must be rust-free and perfectly flat to prevent rotor wobble and vibration.
Install Bracket: Mount the adapter bracket to the knuckle. Apply thread locker (e.g., Loctite Blue) to bolts and torque to factory spec.
Install Rotor: Clean protective oil off the new rotor surface. Mount it to the hub (secure temporarily with one lug nut).
Install Caliper: Slide caliper over rotor and align with the bracket. Hand-tighten bolts first to ensure alignment, then tighten to spec using a torque wrench.
Connect Lines: Install the steel braided lines. Important: You MUST use the provided copper crush washers to ensure a leak-free seal.
Bleed Brakes: Flush old fluid and bleed to remove all air bubbles until the pedal feels firm.
Final Check: Reinstall wheels. Check for clearance (3-5mm gap recommended between caliper and rim). Torque wheel lug nuts.

Part 2: Bedding-In Procedure (Break-In)

Goal: Transfer pad material to the rotor for maximum power and noise prevention.

Moderate Cycles (8-10 Times):Accelerate to 60 km/h (35 mph).Apply moderate braking down to 10 km/h (5 mph).DO NOT STOP COMPLETELY. Accelerate immediately. Repeat 8-10 times.
Heavy Cycles (2-3 Times):Accelerate to 100 km/h (60 mph).Brake firmly down to 20 km/h (12 mph). Repeat 2-3 times.
Cool Down (Vital):Drive normally for 10-15 minutes with minimal braking to let airflow cool the system.Park and let cool completely. Do not engage the handbrake while rotors are hot.
