Installation Guides

Pro Tip: For the best adhesion, perform the installation in a shaded area when the hood is cool to the touch.

1. Dry Fitment Test: Before removing the adhesive backing, place the vent cover on the hood to find the optimal position. Use masking tape to mark the corners to ensure perfect alignment during the final step.
2. Surface Preparation: Clean the installation area thoroughly with a wax-and-grease remover or an alcohol prep pad. The surface must be 100% free of dust, wax, or ceramic coatings for the adhesive to bond properly.
3. Enhance Adhesion (Optional but Recommended): If an adhesion promoter is provided, apply a thin layer to the hood area where the tape will contact.
4. Peel and Heat: Peel back about 2-3 inches of the adhesive backing from each corner. If the ambient temperature is below 20°C (68°F), use a hair dryer or heat gun to gently warm the tape and the hood surface to activate the adhesive.
5. Final Positioning: Align the cover with the marks made in Step 1. Slowly pull the remaining backing strips while pressing down firmly on the cover.
6. Apply Pressure: Once the cover is in place, apply firm, even pressure across all taped areas for at least 60 seconds.
7. Curing Time: Avoid washing the vehicle or driving at high speeds for 24-48 hours to allow the adhesive to fully cure and reach maximum strength.
