Installation Steps:

1、OPENING THE TRUNK: First, the trunk needs to be opened to start replacing the lock body 1 from the inside.
2、REMOVE THE PLASTIC COVER PLATE: Locate the plastic cover plate located on top of the trunk and use a screwdriver to remove the set screws 1 on the cover plate.
3、REMOVE THE CATCH and LOCK CYLINDER: remove the screws on the catch and remove the catch, at which point the lock cylinder of the trunk will be revealed. The lock cylinder, in addition to being secured by screws, may be equipped with a sealing rubber ring that can be pushed off from the outside by external force 1.
4、REMOVING THE LOCK BLOCK: During disassembly, it may be necessary to remove the trunk's interior trim panel to better access and remove the lock block. Note that care should be taken when unplugging the lock block connection plug, as the hole in the rear door panel has iron tabs that can be very sharp.
5、INSTALLING A NEW LOCK BLOCK: Prepare a new lock block or lock cylinder and install it by following the reverse steps of removal. Ensure that the lock block or cylinder is secured in place and reinstall all screws and catches previously removed12.
6、TESTING AND ADJUSTMENT: Once installation is complete, test the trunk lock for proper operation. Check that the locking block is secure and that the trunk opens and closes smoothly. If necessary, make appropriate adjustments 2.
