Installation Steps

Step 1: Check Your Vehicle's Bumper

First, inspect your vehicle's rear bumper to determine the correct installation method.

1. If your bumper has a removable cover or cap: This indicates that the factory has pre-drilled holes for a trailer hook. Simply remove the cover to expose the mounting points.
2. If your bumper has no removable cover: This means there are no pre-drilled holes, and installation will require drilling to securely mount the trailer hook.

Step 2: Install the Trailer Hook

• With a Bumper Cover (Non-Destructive Installation):

1. Remove the plastic cover or cap on your bumper to reveal the threaded bolt holes.
2. Align the trailer hook with the exposed holes.
3. Insert the bolts and tighten them securely with the appropriate wrench. The product is now ready for use.

• Without a Bumper Cover (Requires Drilling):

1. Carefully mark the desired location for the trailer hook on your bumper.
2. Using a suitable drill bit, create holes at the marked locations. It's recommended to start with a smaller pilot hole and then enlarge it to the correct size.
3. Align the trailer hook with the newly drilled holes.
4. Insert the bolts and nuts, then tighten them securely to fix the accessory in place.

Important Note: The installation method depends on whether your specific vehicle model came with a pre-drilled bumper. Always ensure the bolts are tightened securely before using the trailer hook for any towing or recovery.
