Description

Engineered specifically to deliver high-performance, reliable, and aesthetically superior braking, this upgraded Big Brake Kit is the ultimate investment for your vehicle's safety and control. Designed to bridge the gap between daily driving comfort and track-ready responsiveness, this system utilizes advanced forged technology to reduce unsprung weight while maximizing stiffness. Whether navigating city streets or handling emergency stops on the highway, this kit offers a linear, confident pedal feel. Featuring a non-destructive, direct bolt-on design, it allows for a seamless upgrade that significantly shortens braking distances while providing a custom, premium look to your wheel assembly.

🏎️ Core Technology & Features

1. Forged Calipers & High-Carbon Metallurgy

This system utilizes a unique combination of lightweight forged aluminum and high-carbon alloys. This advanced construction delivers:

  • Forged Durability: Crafted from high-strength forged aluminum alloy, the calipers are lighter and stronger than standard cast components, ensuring consistent pressure without deformation.

  • High Thermal Resistance: The high-carbon content rotors offer superior thermal stability, effectively preventing brake fade and warping even under temperatures up to 800°C.

  • Reduced Noise & Vibration (NVH): Optimized ventilation design ensures a quieter ride and eliminates shaking during high-speed braking.

2. Superior Safety & Response

Engineered for critical moments, the braking dynamics have been tuned for immediate reaction. The performance data delivers:

  • Shorter Stopping Distances: Verified tests show a reduction in 100km/h-0 braking distance from the factory ~40m down to approximately 33m-36m, significantly enhancing safety.

  • Sensitive Braking: Includes steel braided brake lines that expand less than rubber hoses, providing zero-lag pedal feedback and linear braking force.

3. Aesthetics & Customization

We believe your brakes should look as good as they perform. This kit offers extensive personalization options to match your vehicle's style:

  • Custom Caliper Colors: Available in a wide range of high-temperature resistant finishes (Red, Yellow, Silver, Black, and Custom) to complement your wheel setup.

  • Rotor Pattern Selection: Choose between Drilled (for maximum cooling and aggressive look), Slotted (for dust/gas debris removal), or Hook designs based on your driving needs.

4. All-Weather Durability & Protection

Built to withstand harsh environmental conditions, ensuring longevity and consistent performance:

  • Anti-Corrosion Coating: The rotor hubs and caliper brackets feature a specialized surface treatment to resist rust and oxidation, maintaining a clean look even in wet or salted road conditions.

Dust & Water Seals: Caliper pistons are equipped with high-quality internal seals to prevent moisture and road debris from compromising the hydraulic system.

Installation Steps

🔧 Installation Guide

⚠️ IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING: Brake systems are critical safety components. We highly recommend that this kit be installed by a licensed mechanic or a professional modification shop. Improper installation can lead to brake failure and accidents.

🛠️ Tools Required

  • Floor Jack & Jack Stands

  • Torque Wrench (Essential)

  • Socket & Wrench Set

  • Brake Cleaner & Rags

  • DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 Brake Fluid (Check your vehicle spec)

  • Brake Bleeding Kit

Step-by-Step Installation

1. Preparation & Removal Lift the vehicle securely and remove the wheels. Remove the factory brake calipers, pads, and rotors. Detach the original rubber brake hoses.

  • Tip: Have a drain pan ready for dripping brake fluid.

2. Hub Cleaning (Crucial Step) Use a wire brush to thoroughly clean the wheel hub surface. Remove all rust and debris.

  • Note: The hub must be perfectly flat. Any debris left behind will cause rotor runout (wobble) and vibration.

3. Install the Adapter Bracket Install the provided custom-forged caliper bracket (adapter) onto the vehicle's steering knuckle. Apply thread locker (e.g., Loctite Blue) to the bolts and torque them to the factory specification.

4. Install the Rotor Clean the new rotor surfaces with brake cleaner to remove the protective oil coating. Place the rotor onto the hub. Secure it temporarily with a lug nut to keep it in place.

5. Install the Caliper Slide the forged caliper over the rotor and align it with the bracket. Insert the mounting bolts (with washers) and tighten them by hand first to ensure thread alignment. Then, use a torque wrench to tighten to the specified torque value.

6. Connect Brake Lines Install the new steel braided brake lines.

  • Connect one end to the caliper and the other to the factory hard line.

  • Important: Always use the new copper crush washers provided with the banjo bolts to ensure a leak-free seal.

7. Bleed the Brakes Flush the old brake fluid and bleed the system to remove all air bubbles. Start from the wheel furthest from the master cylinder. Continue until the fluid runs clear and the pedal feels firm.

8. Final Check Reinstall the wheels. Check for clearance: Ensure the caliper does not touch the inner spokes of the wheel rim (a 3mm-5mm gap is recommended). Lower the vehicle and torque the wheel lug nuts.

🚦 Bedding-In Procedure (Break-In)

Your new brakes require a "Bedding-In" process to transfer a layer of pad material onto the rotor. This ensures maximum stopping power and prevents noise.

  1. Find a safe, open stretch of road.

  2. Accelerate to approx 60 km/h (35 mph).

  3. Apply moderate braking pressure to slow down to 10 km/h (5 mph). DO NOT COME TO A COMPLETE STOP.

  4. Repeat this process 8-10 times.

  5. Increase speed to 100 km/h (60 mph) and brake firmly down to 20 km/h (12 mph). Repeat 2-3 times.

  6. Drive normally for 10-15 minutes without using the brakes heavily to allow the system to cool down.

  7. Park the vehicle and let the brakes cool completely (do not engage the handbrake if the rear rotors are hot).

⚠️ Preparation

  • Safety First: We highly recommend installation by a licensed mechanic.
  • Key Tools: Floor Jack/Stands, Torque Wrench (Essential), Brake Cleaner, DOT 4 or 5.1 Fluid, Bleeding Kit.

Part 1: Installation Steps (Condensed)

  1. Removal: Lift the vehicle securely. Remove wheels, factory calipers, pads, rotors, and rubber hoses.
  2. Hub Cleaning (Crucial): Wire brush the hub surface thoroughly. The hub must be rust-free and perfectly flat to prevent rotor wobble and vibration.
  3. Install Bracket: Mount the adapter bracket to the knuckle. Apply thread locker (e.g., Loctite Blue) to bolts and torque to factory spec.

  5. Install Caliper: Slide caliper over rotor and align with the bracket. Hand-tighten bolts first to ensure alignment, then tighten to spec using a torque wrench.
  6. Connect Lines: Install the steel braided lines. Important: You MUST use the provided copper crush washers to ensure a leak-free seal.
  7. Bleed Brakes: Flush old fluid and bleed to remove all air bubbles until the pedal feels firm.
  8. Final Check: Reinstall wheels. Check for clearance (3-5mm gap recommended between caliper and rim). Torque wheel lug nuts.

Part 2: Bedding-In Procedure (Break-In)

Goal: Transfer pad material to the rotor for maximum power and noise prevention.

  1. Moderate Cycles (8-10 Times):Accelerate to 60 km/h (35 mph).Apply moderate braking down to 10 km/h (5 mph).DO NOT STOP COMPLETELY. Accelerate immediately. Repeat 8-10 times.
