Installation Guides

  1. Airbag Removal: Locate the two small access holes on the left and right sides of the steering wheel column. Insert a small flat-head screwdriver or a 4mm hex tool to press the internal spring clips. The airbag module will pop forward.
  2. Disconnect Wiring: Carefully pull the airbag module toward you and disconnect the two colored electrical connectors (yellow and purple/black) and the ground wire. Set the airbag aside in a safe, face-up position.
  3. Unbolt the Wheel: Use a 10mm Hex (Allen) socket with a breaker bar to loosen the large center bolt. Do not remove the bolt entirely yet; pull the wheel toward you to loosen it from the splines, then remove the bolt.
  4. Transfer Components: Remove the plastic trim, internal wiring harness, and scroll wheel buttons from your original steering wheel and install them onto the new Cybertruck-style wheel in the same configuration.
  5. Install New Wheel: Align the notch on the new steering wheel with the center mark on the steering column. Slide the wheel onto the splines and hand-tighten the center bolt.
  6. Torque & Reassemble: Tighten the center bolt to approx. 80 Nm (59 ft-lbs). Reconnect the wiring harnesses for the controls and the airbag. Firmly press the airbag module back into the center until you hear the clips click into place.
  7. System Check: Reconnect the battery (if disconnected). Test the horn, scroll wheels, and heating function. Turn the wheel lock-to-lock to ensure smooth operation and no rubbing.
