Installation Steps

 1: Choose the Ideal Mounting Location

• KIA Soul/Rio (Sedan/Hatchback):
  • Mount behind the rearview mirror, slightly to the right for optimal coverage.
  • Avoid blocking the driver’s view or airbags.
• KIA Sorento (SUV):
  • Position the recorder above the rearview mirror, ensuring the lens clears the A-pillar.
  • For panoramic windshields, center the camera for balanced coverage.

 2: Secure the Recorder to the Windshield

1. Clean the Surface: Wipe the windshield with a soft cloth to remove dust and oils.
2. Mount the Bracket:
   • Suction Cup: Press firmly until secure.
   • Adhesive Mount: Apply pressure for 30 seconds after peeling the backing.
3. Attach the Recorder: Slide it onto the bracket and lock it in place.

 3: Route the Power Cable

1. Hide the Cable:
   • Sedan/Hatchback (Soul/Rio): Tuck the cable into the headliner gap, then down the A-pillar trim. Secure with zip ties along the door sill.
   • SUV (Sorento): Route the cable behind the A-pillar trim to avoid rattling. Use clips to secure it under the headliner.
2. Power Options:
   • Cigarette Lighter: Plug directly in, hiding excess cable under the dashboard.
   • Fuse Box (Advanced): Connect to an ACC circuit (e.g., radio fuse) using a fuse tap.

 4: Connect and Test

1. Power On: Plug in the cable and turn on the ignition.
2. Adjust Settings:
   • Set resolution to 1080P/2K.
   • Enable loop recording (3–5 minutes per segment).
   • Activate G-sensor for collision detection.
3. Angle Calibration: Tilt the lens slightly downward to capture the road ahead.

 5: Final Checks

• Functionality: Test recording, playback, and emergency lock features.
• Cable Security: Ensure wires do not interfere with pedals or steering.
• Legal Compliance (Hong Kong): Disable audio recording and confirm lens placement does not block airbags.
