Installation Steps

  1. Locate the Air Filter Housing
    • Open the hood and secure it with the prop rod.
    • The air filter housing is a rectangular/oval-shaped plastic box near the engine, connected to the intake hose.
  2. Remove the Housing Cover
    • Depending on the model:
      • Clips/Clamps: Squeeze or lift the clips securing the housing lid.
      • Screws: Use a flathead screwdriver to loosen and remove any screws.
    • Gently lift the cover to access the air filter.
  3. Extract the Old Filter
    • Pull out the dirty air filter element. Note its orientation (e.g., arrow for airflow direction).
  4. Clean the Housing
    • Use a microfiber cloth to wipe dust, debris, or dirt from the housing interior and the cover.
  5. Install the New Filter
    • Align the new filter with the housing, ensuring the airflow arrow points toward the engine.
    • Press the filter firmly into place until it sits flush.
  6. Reassemble the Housing
    • Replace the cover and secure it with clips/screws. Ensure a tight seal to prevent unfiltered air from entering.
  7. Test the Installation
    • Start the engine and listen for unusual noises. Check for air leaks around the housing.
