Installation Steps

 1: Choose the Ideal Installation Location

• Optimal Position: Mount the recorder behind the rearview mirror, slightly to the right for centered coverage.
• SUV Models (Seltos/Sportage): Ensure the lens clears the A-pillar without obstruction.
• Sedan Models (Optima/Rio/Forte): Avoid positioning too close to the mirror to prevent adjustment interference.

 2: Secure the Recorder to the Windshield

1. Clean the Surface: Wipe the glass with a soft cloth to remove dust or oils.
2. Mount the Bracket:
   • Suction Cup: Press firmly until secure.
   • Adhesive Mount: Peel the backing and apply pressure for 30 seconds.
3. Attach the Recorder: Slide it onto the bracket and lock it in place.

 3: Route the Power Cable

1. Hide the Cable:
   • Tuck the cable into the headliner gap above the windshield.
   • Feed it down the A-pillar trim (gently pry open with a tool if needed).
   • Secure with zip ties along the door sill.
2. Power Options:
   • Cigarette Lighter: Plug directly in, hiding excess cable under the dashboard.
   • Fuse Box (Advanced): Use a fuse tap to connect to an ACC circuit (e.g., radio fuse).

4: Connect and Test

1. Power On: Plug in the cable and turn on the ignition.
2. Adjust Settings:
   • Set resolution to 1080P or 2K.
   • Enable loop recording (3-5 minutes per segment).
   • Activate G-sensor for collision detection.
3. Angle Calibration: Ensure the lens captures the road ahead with a slight downward tilt.

 5: Final Checks

• Functionality: Verify video/audio recording, emergency lock, and playback.
• Cable Security: Ensure no loose wires interfere with pedals or steering.
• Legal Compliance (Hong Kong): Disable audio recording and confirm lens placement doesn’t block airbags.
