Installation Guides

Alignment Mock-up: Before removing the adhesive backing, place the left and right guards over the tail lights to familiarize yourself with the fit. Ensure the guards align perfectly with the gaps between the light and the body panel.
Surface De-Greasing: This is the most critical step. Clean the tail light lens and the surrounding plastic housing thoroughly with Isopropyl alcohol or a dedicated prep-wipe. The surface must be 100% free of wax, ceramic coatings, or dust.
Tape Activation: Use a heat gun or a hair dryer to gently warm the 3M tape on the back of the guards for about 10-15 seconds. This "activates" the adhesive for a much stronger, permanent bond.
Gradual Peeling: Peel off a small section (about 2 inches) of the red backing film from each corner of the guard.
Precision Placement: Carefully press the guard onto the tail light. Once the position is perfect, pull out the remaining red backing strips from underneath while holding the guard in place.
Compression Bond: Apply firm, even pressure across all sections of the guard, especially the corners and edges, for at least 60 seconds. This ensures the VHB tape "wets out" and creates a waterproof seal.
Curing Time: For best results, do not wash your vehicle or drive in heavy rain for 24 to 48 hours. This allows the bond to reach its maximum structural strength.
