Installation steps
1. Double-check that your GWM model's chassis has the factory-preset mounting holes for the trailer hitch. On some models it may be necessary to remove the trim cover under the rear bumper.
2. Align the body of the GWM tow hitch with the pre-drilled holes and secure using the supplied bolts and washers.
3. Attach the tow ball or other required towing accessories to the body of the hitch and make sure it is securely fastened.
4. After installation is complete, be sure to check the attachment of the tow hitch for solidity.

This base plate is solid and fits my GWM POER (Great Wall Cannon) perfectly! I used it during a two-week, 3500-mile journey—hitched and unhitched it from our RV several times without any issues. The kit didn’t come with a manual, but I found a great installation video on YouTube. It took me around 2 hours to install, taking my time. I’m impressed with the fit and finish—it looks factory-installed. The plug & play wiring harness includes both 7-pin and 4-pin connectors, plus a vehicle-specific module and a brake controller adapter. Compared to typical aftermarket options, this is an excellent value!
