Installation Steps

1.Preparation

Disconnect the vehicle battery and lift the car using a jack, securing it with jack stands. Gather tools including a wrench, socket set, and torque wrench.

2.Locate the Strut

Identify the shock absorber strut assembly in the suspension (as shown in the application image, near the wheel assembly and control arm).

3.Remove Old Strut

Support the vehicle weight with a jack under the lower control arm. Remove the top mounting nuts and bolts inside the engine bay, then detach the lower mounting bolts to remove the old strut.

4.Install New Strut

Position the new MG3SW Front Rear Shock Absorber Strut Assembly, aligning it with the mounting points. Secure the top and bottom with the appropriate bolts and nuts, tightening to the manufacturer’s specified torque.

5.Reattach Components

Reconnect any associated wiring or brackets, ensuring all connections are secure. Remove the jack support from the control arm.

6.Final Check

Lower the vehicle, reconnect the battery, and bounce the car gently to settle the suspension. Verify that there are no unusual noises or misalignment, and test drive cautiously.
