Yes. The front side-window shades can partially fold back to open the exterior mirror-view area. This does not mean every shade folds for storage or that your driving view will always be clear. Check the road and mirrors from the driving position and remove any obstructing shade.
The fabric is high-density polyester, intended for sun shading, reduced UV exposure, insect shading and privacy. A tested UV-blocking percentage or UPF rating has not been provided, so no 90% figure or guaranteed temperature drop is claimed.
The original fitting method uses the matching frame, with suction cups where required by the vehicle or window. A frame-fit side shade may remain in place while the glass moves if it clears the glass and stays secure. Remove any shade attached to the moving glass by suction cups before operating that window. Do not force the glass against the shade or its supports.
No. The fabric helps reduce visibility into the cabin, but privacy changes with lighting and viewing angle, especially with lights on inside at night. A securely fitted side shade can help keep insects out; gaps around an individual installation mean it is not a sealed insect barrier.
