Installation steps
Step 1: Preparation & Safety Checks
1. Disconnect the power supply: Disconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle battery to prevent short circuit.
2. Recover refrigerant: [Core Steps] Use a professional refrigerant recovery machine to completely recover the remaining refrigerant in the air conditioning system. It is strictly prohibited to discharge the refrigerant directly into the atmosphere.
Step 2: Removal of Old Compressor
1. Remove the belt: Loosen the belt tensioning wheel and remove the serpentine belt (serpentine belt).
2. Disconnect lines: Disconnect the high and low pressure lines and electrical connectors connected to the compressor.
3. Remove bolts: Unscrew the fixing bolts and remove the old air conditioning compressor.
Step 3: New Installation & System Flush
1. Check the new product: Compare the old and new compressors to make sure the model, interface and pulley are identical.
2. Add Oil: [Core Steps] Confirm whether the new compressor contains or needs to add the specified type and dosage of PAG refrigeration oil. Please refer to the vehicle service manual.
3. Replacement of accessories: In order to ensure the validity of the warranty and the health of the system, it is necessary to replace the drying bottle/tank and the expansion valve/throttle with new ones.
4. System flushing: If the old compressor was damaged due to an internal failure (e.g., “pulling” or “holding”), the air conditioning lines, condenser and evaporator must be thoroughly cleaned with a special flushing agent to remove metal shavings and contaminants.
Installation of new product: Install the new compressor in place, tighten the fixing bolts according to the specified torque, and connect the high and low pressure pipelines (be sure to replace the sealing O-ring with a new one) and electrical connectors.
5. Install the belt: Install and tighten the belt.
Step 4: Evacuation & Recharging of the system
1. Connect the equipment: Connect the manifold pressure gauge and vacuum pump.
2. System Evacuation: [Core Steps] Evacuate the whole air conditioning system for at least 30-45 minutes to completely remove air and moisture from the system. Hold pressure for 15 minutes after evacuation to check for leaks.
3. Refill Refrigerant: Use a refrigerant charger to accurately fill the refrigerant according to the type and gram weight indicated on your vehicle's nameplate or service manual.
Step 5: Startup and Testing (Final Checks)
1. Power Connection: Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Start Test: Start the engine, turn on the A/C switch, set the airflow to maximum and the temperature to minimum.
