Installation Steps

1.Preparation

Park your vehicle on a level surface and disconnect the battery to ensure safety. Gather tools including a wrench, socket set, and the MG7 MG3SW Alternator kit.  

2.Access the Engine Bay

Open the hood and locate the existing alternator in the engine compartment.  

3.Remove the Old Alternator

Disconnect the electrical connectors and loosen the serpentine belt by releasing tension from the belt tensioner. Unbolt the alternator and carefully remove it from the engine bay. 

4.Install the MG7 MG3SW Alternator

Position the new alternator in place, aligning it with the mounting points. Secure it with the provided bolts and reconnect the electrical connectors.  

5.Reattach the Serpentine Belt

Route the serpentine belt over the alternator pulley and restore tension using the belt tensioner, ensuring proper alignment.  

6.Test and Verify

Reconnect the battery, start the vehicle, and check for proper charging (verify with a voltmeter if needed). Inspect for any unusual noises or vibrations.
